There are a couple things to like, but they're pretty minor. The shower was good and the coffee maker was nice for making tea. The Pub has pretty decent food. Otherwise this was pretty much the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. To start with, the room was tiny, more like a jail cell than a hotel room. It was a warm week in Toronto and the air conditioner was not up to the task, so the room was sweltering most of the time--luckily I brought my own fan to help. They don't even give you a Do Not Disturb sign so you'd have to tell the maid or front desk or something if you don't want disturbed. (Might be embarrassing for the newlyweds.) They charge you for what you get for free at pretty much every Motel 6 or Holiday Inn. Up to $*/week for WiFi that you can get free from the coffee shop at the end of the block. $* for the continental breakfast. If you factor in these costs you can probably afford a better hotel than this place. On a special note, do not go here if you're driving. The nearest parking garage is upwards of $*/day and there's no elevator and the stairs come out across the street. So either you schlep your bags up the stairs and end up a block away or you illegally roll them up the entrance ramp and hope no cars are coming. I expected a lot more from this supposed "Hotel" and was really let down.

This hotel provided a one night stay during the Auto Show that was perfectly located, well priced, and entirely acceptable. The room wasn't large or fancy - but it was clean, ready on time, and fit our needs perfectly. I will be back next year.

The room was small but it was fashionably decorated and comfortable. We received excellent advice from the front desk on a restaurant for breakfast. We arrived by Amtrak and were leaving on the VIA Canadian so the location, across from Union Station was perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Booked hotel in December 2008 through a Web site and asked for a King Bed. Then called hotel to confirm that I could have a king bed. All total I called 6 times to include the day before our flight to Toronto. When we arrived I was told that they has no kings available because the Yankees were in town. I also showed the Manager my reservation sheet and had 5 different names of his employees that had assured me it was no problem. One of the names was his name. All I kept hearing was that it was not garanteed and that the Yankees were in town. I travel frequently and can honestly say this was the worst treatment I have received. The rooms were clean but very small. Upon leaving we were offered a flat rate limo to the airport for $50. I had to ask the driver to slow down several times. He drove like an absolute nut. He apoligized afterwards but that didn't help. Overall, a very poor hotel with poorly trained staff. I must say that the housekeeping staff is very friendly and honestly smile and greet you more than the front desk staff. We won't be returning to this hotel when we return to Toronto.
